Living in Los Angeles, I don’t get the chance to break out my winter clothing very often, and I honestly don’t have many coats and cold-weather essentials stored in my closet. Like all things, there’s always an exception, and my exception to this is the below long tan coat. I purchased the favored coat while shopping at the mall with my mom about six years ago, and since then it’s become my go-to once the weather starts to drop. I definitely get more wear out of it when I travel home to Kansas for the holiday, but I’ve had my fair share of L.A. outfits paired with the comfortable camel coat.
I’ve found the long camel coat to work for just about any occasion, whether I’m wearing it with jeans and a sweater to the office or throwing it over my sweatsuit for the airport. Either way, every time I wear it, I get compliments on it and have to explain that “you’d never guess it but I found it at Forever 21 years ago and it’s still in good condition.” The timeless coat style has truly become a signature in my winter wardrobe.
