“It was a tough decision, but Demi and Max have decided to go their separate ways to focus on their respective careers,” a source with knowledge of the situation told People. “They have respect and love for one another and will always cherish the time they spent together.”
At least the two will always have that July day on the beach when they got officially betrothed.
“I knew I loved you the moment I met you,” Lovato wrote on her Insta with the romantic photos, adding that she had never felt “so unconditionally loved.”
Ehrich posted some mush of his own, writing: “I cannot spend another second of my time here on Earth without the miracle of having you as my wife.”
The two got reportedly together in March, hinting at their relationship when Lovato popped into the frame of Ehrich’s Instagram live gig during lockdown, and became a bit more public in May when they kissed in Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber’s “Stuck With U” music video, People noted.
Lovato wished Ehrich a happy six-month couples anniversary just two weeks ago, writing on her Instagram story: “I love you BEYOND. Thank you for making my life so much better @maxehrich I love you, baby.”
Ehrich recently faced accusations that he had come on to other celebrities, including Selena Gomez and Grande, on their social media, but Lovato said the screenshot comments were fake.
Reps for Lovato and Ehrich didn’t immediately reply to HuffPost’s requests for comment.
